The ADK-ONONDAGA Chapter has a variety of outdoor, educational activities and volunteer opportunities that are listed in our quarterly chapter newsletter Talk of the Trail. In most years, we have around 200 scheduled outings, half of these are hikes and the rest are a mix of ski, snowshoe, canoe/kayak, trail building and maintenance, backpack, socials, and workshops. Our trips take us as far away as Canada and all over New York State, 25% were in the Adirondacks. We have trips scheduled every weekend. We also have day hikes every Wednesday and occasionally Twilight Tuesday hikes in areas close to Syracuse.
